Schools divide the curriculum into specialist segments: some teachers install math in the students, and others install history. This is especially true in high schools, where school systems base education on the principles of the assembly line and the efficient division of labor. In many ways, they reflect the factory culture they were designed to support. Public schools were not only created in the interests of industrialism-they were created in the image of industrialism. Forgive each other every day from the bottom of your hearts. Live together in the forgiveness of your sins. Do what is given to you, and do it well, and you will have done enough. Do not meddle in what is not your providence. You confess, preach, bear witness to me, and I alone will build where it pleases me. It is a great comfort which Jesus gives to his church. It may be that the times which from a human point are great times for the church are times when it's pulled down.
It may be that the times which by human standards are the times of collapse are for him the great times of construction. We cannot see whether he is building or pulling down. Whoever is mindful to build the church is surely well on the way to destroying it, for he will build a temple to idols without wishing or knowing it. They enter the community of Christians with their demands set up by their own law, and judge one another and God accordingly. Those who dream of this idolized community demand that it be fulfilled by God, by others and by themselves. God hates this wishful dreaming because it makes the dreamer proud and pretentious. Those who love their dream of a Christian community more than they love the Christian community itself become destroyers of that Christian community even though their personal intentions may be ever so honest, earnest and sacrificial. It wasn't my fault I didn't have any say in the matter. It wasn't my fault I was programmed from day one. They allow people to say it wasn't my fault I am genetically predisposed. String enough of those decisions together and you set a course and you set a standard of living. Am I going to take or am I not going to waste my life or am I going to say no and try and stay sober and be a decent person. At that point the decision is a difficult one to make, but it is still a decision. If they take it too often, that process of decision making gets out of control, and if it gets far out of control, it becomes an addiction. Once they have it, they make a decision to take it. An individual wants something, whatever that something is, and makes a desicion to get it.
